PNG to JPG Converter
PNG keeps every pixel, which makes photos heavy. Converting a PNG photo to JPG usually gives a much smaller file for sharing, email or upload forms with a size limit.

What changes when you convert PNG to JPG
- JPG compression is lossy. You choose the quality (90 by default): lower values make smaller files but can blur fine detail and leave artifacts around text and sharp edges.
- JPG has no transparency: transparent areas of the PNG are filled with white, and semi-transparent edges are blended onto white.

PNG

Frequently asked questions
Answers about converting PNG images to JPG with this free tool.
Will converting PNG to JPG reduce the file size?
For photos and other images with many colors, usually yes, often by a large margin, because JPG compression discards detail the eye barely notices. For screenshots, logos and flat graphics the gain is smaller and JPG can blur text edges, so PNG or WebP may suit them better.
Can I convert the JPG back to PNG later?
Yes, but the detail removed by JPG compression does not come back: the new PNG is a lossless copy of the JPG, not of your original PNG. Keep the original if you may need its full quality.
What happens to transparent areas when I convert PNG to JPG?
JPG cannot store transparency, so the converter fills transparent areas with white, the color most viewers show behind them. Semi-transparent pixels, such as soft shadows, are blended onto white. To keep transparency, choose a format that stores it, such as PNG or WebP.
Which quality setting should I choose for JPG?
The quality slider goes from 0 to 100 and starts at 90, a good balance for most images. Lower it for smaller files; raise it if you see blur or blocky artifacts around text. You can convert again with another value and compare the file sizes shown with the result.
Is the PNG to JPG converter free?
Yes, it is free and needs no account. It converts one image at a time, up to 10 MB and 25 megapixels, and adds no watermark. Images are processed for the conversion and are not stored permanently.
