What changes when you convert PNG to PDF
- Each PNG becomes one page. Add several images to combine them into a single PDF, in the order you choose.
- The PNG pixels are stored with lossless compression, so text and sharp edges stay crisp. A 16-bit PNG is stored with 8 bits per channel.
- Transparent areas of the PNG stay transparent in the PDF and show the white page behind them, which is also how they print on white paper.
- By default each page takes the size of its image at 96 DPI (one pixel is 1/96 inch). Choose A4 or US Letter to scale each image to fit the page, with no, small or large margins.

Does a PNG stay sharp in the PDF?
Yes. The PNG pixels are stored with lossless compression, so screenshots, text and thin lines look exactly as in the PNG. Zooming in shows the same pixels, without new blur.
Can I select or search the text of a screenshot in the PDF?
No. The PDF contains the image, not its text. To copy the text, first use our image to text tool, which reads the text of a screenshot with OCR.
Can I combine several PNG images into one PDF?
Yes. Select or drop up to 50 images, then drag them, or use the arrow buttons, to set the page order. Each image becomes one page of the same PDF, and JPG, PNG, WebP, AVIF and GIF images can be mixed.
Which page size should I choose?
Fit page to image, the default, makes each page exactly the size of its image at 96 DPI, without a white border. A4 (210 × 297 mm) and US Letter (8.5 × 11 in) suit printing and forms: each image is scaled to fit inside the margins and centered, on a portrait or landscape page that follows the image unless you choose the orientation.
