Frequently asked questions

Everything you need to know about converting images to PDF and combining them into one file.

How do I convert images to PDF?

Drop or select your images, or paste one with Ctrl+V, check the page order, and choose the page size, orientation and margin. Then click Create PDF and download the file. Each image becomes one page.

How do I combine several images into one PDF?

Add up to 50 images at once or a few at a time. Drag a page to move it, or use its arrow buttons, which also work with the keyboard. The PDF keeps the order shown, one image per page.

Are my images uploaded?

No. The PDF is built in your browser with pdf-lib, an open-source library: your images are never uploaded to our servers, and the PDF is saved straight from your browser.

Does converting to PDF reduce image quality?

JPG photos are copied into the PDF without recompression, so they keep exactly their quality, and PNG images are stored losslessly. A PDF cannot hold WebP, AVIF or GIF data, so your browser redraws those images as lossless PNG, using the first frame of an animation; images above 16.8 megapixels are reduced to that size.

Which page size, orientation and margin can I choose?

Fit page to image, the default, makes each page the size of its image at 96 DPI. A4 and US Letter scale each image to fit the page and center it; the orientation follows each image, or you can set portrait or landscape. The margin can be none, small (1/4 in, 6 mm) or large (3/4 in, 19 mm).

Is it free, and what are the limits?

It is free, with no account and no watermark. One PDF can hold up to 50 images and 100 MB of images in total. Phone photos are placed upright from their EXIF orientation, and transparent areas show the white page.
